About Andrae Alexander Books

Andrae, a veteran of The Marine Corps and a pianist in The United States Navy Band of Washington D.C., has performed for the Crown Prince of Norway and countless other government and military officials. He is an accomplished musician, songwriter, producer, author and performer who has performed in Norway, Ireland, Japan, England, France, Egypt, Spain, the U.S. and many other countries. Andrae has performed with, opened shows or recorded for artist such as Patti Labelle, Estelle, Musiq, Justo Almario, Common, Vanessa Hudgens, Evelyn Champagne King, Jill Scott, Martha Reeves, Debbie Allen, Mary Wilson, Cam Meekins, Greg Phillinganes, Freda Payne, Lily Tomlin, Marcela Detroit, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Kelly Price, Leon Ware, Lamont Dozier, Allee Willis, The Michigan Opera Theater, Michelle', Claudette Ortiz, Dawn Robinson, Chante Moore, Kenny Lattimore, Chrissette Michelle, Raheem DeVaughn, Lil' Mo, Ledisi, Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, Beverly Crawford, Alvin Slaughter and others. As a performer, he has been on shows, such as "The Ellen Show", "The Jimmy Kimmel Show", "The Jay Leno Show", "B.E.T. Presents", "The Today Show" and recently TV ONE's "R&B Diva's LA". Andrae is also featured in GLC and Kanye West's video, "Big Screens" and Vanessa Hudgens song, "Last Night" on her Identified! Album. Andrae has also recorded with the three time Grammy winner, No I.D., working with Estelle and Common as a featured soloist on their collaboration "Victorious", has finished his piano course titled, "OMG Piano course", has written, directed, and scored a relaxation CD and DVD entitled, "Entrance". Andrae Alexander is currently the musical director at Wendy Raquel Robinson's "Amazing Grace Conservatory" and the musical director and frequent collaborator for the hit songwriter, Emmy and Grammy award winner, Allee Willis (September, Boogie Wonderland, the Color Purple Musical...), with whom he has written the unofficial/official theme song for the city of Detroit titled, "The D".
