About Ann Ormsby Books
Ann Ormsby holds a master's degree in journalism from New York University and works as a freelance writer and author. Her journalism portfolio includes work with online and print media outlets such as The Newark Star-Ledger, The Huffington Post, njspotlight.com, The Alternative Press, hackwriters.com, patch.com, and several other venues. Ormsby primarily writes on reproductive freedom and other public policy issues, and has done so in her debut work of fiction, The Recovery Room, which tackles the always controversial topic of abortion. Compelled by statistics indicating that one out of every three women will have an abortion before the age of forty-five, Ormsby penned her thought-provoking novel to raise awareness of the importance of reproductive freedom, and explore some of the reasons a woman might choose to end an unwanted pregnancy.
