About Bill Gaythwaite

Bill Gaythwaite is the forty-fifth winner of the Drue Heinz Literature Prize. His debut novel, Underburn, was published in 2023, and his short fiction has appeared in Subtropics, Chicago Quarterly Review, Willow Springs, South Carolina Review, Puerto del Sol, and many other publications. Bill is currently the Assistant Director for Special Populations at Columbia Law School. He grew up in Boston and lives in New Jersey with his partner.
