For over 10 years (2000 to 2010), I owned a "Live" 300 seat original music showcase bar/Venue. On average, I saw 3-5 bands per night, 20+ per week, 80+ per month, ×12 or about a thousand per year, ×10 years; you get the picture. I've worked with a lot of bands.I became an expert on what works and what doesn't work from the stage, including sound and lights. Over the years I've helped all kinds of bands/performers create, achieve, and execute an entertaining professional show. What makes me unique in the music business is I have the specialized perspectives of both sides in 'Live Stage Entertainment.' First, I starred in the show. I started multiple successful bands, was the principal songwriter and an accomplished, charismatic performer on one side. On the other side, I was a booking agent, promoter plus 10 years as a successful "Live Music Venue" owner. I've extensively studied all aspects of these crucial interactions and how it can benefit bands/performers. These interactions include the stage performers point of view and why it's a high- priority to have 'Stage Command' and to grasp all the stage fundamentals. Bands need to understand the inner workings and relationships in a "Live" Venue (promoters, booking agents, sound, lights, and Owners) and educate themselves in all facets of the business. The 'Holy Grail' is to understand the psyche of an audience, master zone communication, become a maestro and always exceed their expectations. In my career, I've worked in two different categories, the service industry (restaurants, nightclubs, 'Live music venues' and combos like the Hard Rock Café), or the music industry (Bands, manager, and producer). I've never had traditional 9 to 5 jobs. I am a self-taught musician, songwriter, and performer. The first 5 years were not kind to me. I struggled big time and wanted to quit on a daily basis, but because of my love for music, I kept going. As I persevered, the light bulb finally came on. My music floodgates opened and everything square-rooted. I was the founder, primary songwriter and bandleader for four different original music bands from 1980 to 2000. We focused our skill-set on rehearsals, songwriting, stagecraft, performance, and perfecting our live show. My strategic vision resulted in having some of the biggest draws and many sold-out shows at local venues for all of my original bands. In 2000 I bought an original "Live" music bar/venue.
