David Teie is a cellist and academic who brings music and scientific insight together in his groundbreaking theories, which have been reviewed, accepted and published by the Royal Society and Oxford University Press. He has served as the acting principal cellist of the San Francisco Symphony, lead cellist on the S&M album with Metallica, is a lecturer at the University of Maryland, an ASCAP composer, a Fulbright Scholar, and was invited to speak at the Washington Academy of Sciences and the International Conference on Music, Cognition, and Perception.
