Jack Barsky was born, raised, and educated East Germany. He was recruited by the KGB and spent ten years as an undercover agent in the United States.Jack severed his relations with the KGB in 1988 and was captured by the FBI in 1997. In the spring of 2015, CBS 60 Minutes ran a story on Jack's unusual life. Jack has retired from his corporate career in information technology to concentrate on his book and public appearances.He lives with his wife, Shawna, and their daughter, Trinity, in Covington, Georgia.Cindy Coloma is a bestselling author who has published numerous nonfiction books and twelve novels, including Beautiful (2010 Christy Award finalist and 2011 Revolve Tour Young Adult featured book), Song of the Brokenhearted (with coauthor Sheila Walsh; 2013 ECPA bestseller), The Salt Garden (one of Library Journal's Best Books 2004), Orchid House (2008 ECPA bestseller), and Winter Passing (2001 Christy Award finalist).
