About Kelly Matathia-Covo Books

Kelly Matathia-Covo lives and works in Athens, Greece. She has illustrated more than 20 children's books, many of which have received awards. Firm in her belief that storytelling and picture books always find a way to communicate even the most difficult subjects, she wrote and illustrated The Yellow Hats, which was awarded Best Picture Book by IBBY Greece in 2018, and in 2019 was shortlisted for the Greek National Children's Book Award. Matathia-Covo was Greece's 2024 nominee for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in illustration.
