Kuldeep Sinha is a national award winning author and film maker who has won considerable renowned for his thought provoking films and writings. He has three short story anthologies to his credit: Kashish, Siskiyaan and Dastak. His books on Film making 'Patkatha Lekhan Ke Tatva' ( Elements of screen play writing) and Film Nirdeshan (Direction) are equally popular with students of cinema He was conferred the Rajbhasha shree and the Saraswat Samman at the Ashirwad awards, Hindi Sahitya Samman By the Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Government of India and few others. He has written and directed more than hundred short films on a wide variety of subjects from Agriculture to Arts, from Music to Science and from News and current affairs to Educational films. His films have begged several National and International Honors. He was honored with 'Scroll of Honor' for outstanding services towards the welfare & growth of Hindi Talkie Cinema by Indian Organization of Mass Communication & School of Broadcasting & Communication, Mumbai, and the 'Life Time Achievement Award' for contribution in the growth and promotion of Documentary Films by International Center for Cultural Relations, Mumbai and many more. An Honors graduate from the University of Pune, he also graduated in cinema from the Film and Television Institute of India. with a rare flair in Hindi and English equally, he later studied Journalism, Press relations and Management. His pther novel 'Behind the Moving Images' and 'The Darkness in the Arc' deal with the lives of stars and other people behind the screen which is generally kept out of the gaze of film goers and fans. His novel NEITHER, available as eBook in Kindle, analyzes the evolution, the turbulence, social, economic and legal discrimination in the lives of transgender people.
