About Marianne Dunat Books

Born in a small Basque village in the south of France, twenty-year-old Marianne Dunat traveled to Los Angeles in 1919, to visit relatives for one year. She became a permanent resident of Los Angeles. Working as a travel companion for a multi-millionaire, she experienced engaging fashion shows in New York and Paris. To pursue her fascination with fashions she enrolled in a fashion-design program at the prestigious Diogot & Wolfe fashion-design school in Hollywood. Having developed high-level skills in designing unique and elegant fashions, she was invited to join the costume-design staff at the prominent Cecile DeMille motion picture studios during Hollywood's glamorous and exciting Golden Age of the 1920s. The illustrations in this book were selected from Ms Dunat's collection of "Fashion Designs of the 1920s."
