About Regina Held Books

Regina Held Originally from Dortmund, Germany, Regina Held is the founder and director of New Grounds Print Workshop and Gallery. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Masters in Fine Art from the University of New Mexico. Held founded New Grounds in 1996 in response to the need for an open access printmaking facility. She embraced the non-toxic methods which were just coming on the market at that time and created a studio around it. She has won awards for her contributions to the Albuquerque arts community and is often invited to speak on the topics of printmaking, collecting prints, and the business of art. Ray Maseman Ray Maseman is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Denver, and he has been creating his unique etchings at New Grounds since 1997. Maseman is married and the father of three children. He also makes his living as a school librarian at Albuquerque Public Schools and has been a teacher at New Grounds since 2005. His etchings have been exhibited widely and can be found in numerous public and private collections.
