About Wade Rivers Books
Wade Rivers was born in Oklahoma City but has resided in Arkansas most of his adult life. As a young man, he lived in Europe and travelled extensively before returning to the states where he attended the University of Arkansas and then the University of Oregon. Out of college, he became the Director of a consumer affairs group where he was very involved in lobbying on legislation and travelled frequently between Washington D.C. and Little Rock. Afterwards, he became an investment banker (stockbroker) for ten years and specialized primarily in trading for banks across the country. In the 1990's, Rivers retired from a lifestyle that was very destructive and nearly killed him. He became sober and left the investment business preferring a less stressful and more serene life. He became a painter and eventually a realtor where he bought the farm on the Ouachita River where he now lives with his doting wife and daughter. Though he is still somewhat involved indirectly in government affairs, Rivers' primary ambition is just to write. It is his love. He also covets his time with God and nature. A naturalist, (in the truest sense), he and his family live on a farm surrounded by a river in a virtual wilderness. When he is not tending to his orchards and "chores", he is on the river with his dogs, fishing and kayaking. Currently, Rivers is working on his fourth book, another thriller, and is deeply immersed in his lifelong interest, the pursuit and discovery of mass alternative energy sources.
