Yanek Mieczkowski is the author of three previous books, has worked as a writing fellow for Oxford University Press and has written more than 40 biographies for The American National Biography. He was a professor and history department chair at Dowling College until its 2016 closure. He now teaches at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne.
