Ten Plays from Around the World, Volume 1. shares some of the many global cultures with children. They are plays that teach our young ones different lessons fundamental to understanding life and the world we live in. Each play contains a valuable lesson for children, yet people of any age will benefit from these tales.

They tell the stories of animals looking for a safe and warm home, a town where no fun is allowed, a mischievous cat who connives so his master can achieve success, a mystery a family endures over beans that disappeared, and the story of a boy who travels to a parallel world. They are universal stories that encourage thought, understanding, and valuable life lessons. Other tales include the original Cinderella story from Egypt, an ambitious Italian peasant, and a pot that gives birth to a baby pot. A tale from Shakespeare and the story of Pandora is also included.

These plays can be performed by any age group but they were originally written for child actors in a training program called World Theatre of Children.
