30 Cello Duets for Beginners was created by a cello teacher to help students learn to play together on their own. The best way to start is by playing really easy music. So this book starts out with a few duets with just open strings. The rest of the duets are first position only, with no extensions. Some of the titles: Beethoven Ode to Joy, Schumann Happy Farmer with variations, Purcell Rigadoon, Handel Theme from Judas Maccabaeus, Offenbach Can Can, and Traditional songs such as The Ash Grove, Lightly Row, Drunk at Night Dry in the Morning.
