Solomon Awuzie's A Policeman also Dies and Other Plays is a collection of five plays that captures the socio-political situation of the African society. Through the use of fascinating metaphors and rich imageries, Awuzie captures the realities of the African society while revealing, piece by piece, the tension and anxiety that characterize the contemporary African society. Through the collection, it is further depicted that with literature the African society can be transformed into a better society.

Author Biography

Solomon Awuzie is Solomon Awuzie's writing name. He obtained his bachelor of Arts degree from Imo State University, Ower right, his master of Arts degree from the University of Port Harcourt. He is also the author of the Last Revolution (2010), The Born Again Devil(2004), A policeman also dies and other plays(2017), The Taunts of the flesh(2004), and many other children's fictions. In 2005, his short story 'Your Epistle' won the ANA-IMO/ young writer's club prize for Literature and in 2015, his children fiction entitled Oluyemi and The School Fee came second at the ANA-IMO state Literally competition.
