Acid Reign: A GenX Romance - Paperback

by Samantha J. Bryant (Author)

Abby Storm, bass player for the all-girl punk band Acid Reign, has been a rock star since the 80s. She knows how to handle a one-night stand. The cute suit on the next bar stool with the warm brown eyes and the hundred-dollar nice guy haircut isn't exactly her type. But her best friend is dying; the night is long; and she doesn't want to be alone. And that suit of his does fit nicely.

Gavin Elliot has too much on his mind already to think about romance. The divorced dad of two adult daughters is the mayor of Cincinnati, a three-ring circus of high stress and compromise all by itself, and eyeing a run for higher office. But the green-eyed vision beside him in the crown of thorns tiara is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Her name is vaguely familiar; he knows he should know who she is. But when she grabs him for a kiss in the hotel elevator, he forgets about everything else.

That first night is magic, and breakfast the next morning is even better. The more they talk, the more these attracted opposites find they have in common. When Abby's life goes from hard to horrible, Gavin is there for her in a way she's never known from any man before. And Abby brings a passion to Gavin's world he could never have imagined.

But that kind of passion comes at a price. Just being seen with Abby is enough to send shock waves through Gavin's campaign. She speaks her mind, and he loves her for it. But can this punk rock princess make it work as a congressman's wife? Does she even want to try?
