All Quiet Again in Little Compton - Paperback

by Mary Bray (Author)

Little Compton is usually a quiet and peaceful village - but not today.

When Forebear, the wise old bear and inventor, builds a curious machine called the Forest Resonator, he hopes it will help him hear the secret heartbeat of the woods. But when Splinter, the youngest and most mischievous of the Scallywags, decides to make one tiny improvement of his own, things begin to go rather strangely.

Soon hens are tap-dancing, sheep are glowing, and Mozart Bear's musical notes seem to be behaving in ways they really shouldn't.

As the villagers try to work out what is happening, Splinter begins to suspect that perhaps his little addition to Forebear's machine wasn't such a good idea after all.

Full of gentle humour, friendship, woodland magic and colourful illustrations, All Quiet Again in Little Compton is a warm-hearted story for children aged 3-7 and another adventure from the enchanting world of Little Compton.
