Book Overview

by Julietta Anne Rabens (Author)

"Arbor Anicca" for classical guitar & pedal harp is an improvisatory work that contains sections of traditional notation along with musical fragments, which may be repeated and combined at the discretion of the performers."Anicca" is a Buddhist term referring to the cycle of life and death. This piece is a poetic exploration of this process of continual change. For each season and year a forest unfolds its inherent beauty, which can only be fully understood through the process on continual reconfiguration of its underlying patterns. This work was commissioned by Liz Cifani for Brandon Jack Acker, guitar and Keryn Wouden, harp.
