Book Overview

by Maurice LeBlanc (Author)

Arsène Lupin Intervenes brings together a series of ingenious short stories featuring the legendary gentleman thief posing as the detective Jim Barnett. When Inspector Béchoux hits a wall, Barnett steps in, uncovering hidden truths behind baffling crimes-from a vanished necklace to a murder disguised as misfortune. Each tale unfolds with sharp wit, unexpected twists, and Lupin's trademark flair for misdirection. Whether facing off with dishonest heirs or uncovering elaborate frauds, he navigates deception with style and cunning. These pre-WWI cases, told with flair and humor, highlight the clever mind behind the disguise and offer a classic take on the crime story.
