Astral: A Jack Doyle Paranormal Mystery - Paperback

by Mark Reeder (Author)

In the shadow of Seattle's skyline, Detective Jack Doyle faces the most baffling case of his career. Bodies of notorious gang members are turning up completely drained of blood-with no wounds, no evidence, and no explanations.

As tensions in Chinatown threaten to explode into war, Doyle's investigation collides with the enigmatic Dr. Zaina Khoury, a physicist who proposes a theory so outlandish it can't possibly be true: the killer isn't using conventional means, but the power of the mind itself.

"The astral plane connects to the earth's magnetic field... The higher it goes, the more energy is available to people who travel on it."

Meanwhile, in a quiet nursing home across the city, a comatose patient lies motionless-perhaps not as unconscious as the doctors believe. As the inexplicable murders continue, Doyle is forced to question everything he understands about reality, consciousness, and the limits of human capability.

With his career on the line, personal life unraveling, and the body count rising, Doyle must navigate a case where the laws of physics and the boundaries between life and death blur beyond recognition. In a world where conventional weapons seem useless, what defense exists against a killer who can strike from beyond the physical realm?

Astral merges hard-boiled detective fiction with supernatural elements in a heart-pounding thriller that explores the hidden powers of the human mind and the darkest corners of vengeance.
