Billy Bighead: A Tall Tale About Bragging - Hardcover

Billy was the best at everything he tried, and this made his head swell with pride.

Billy is a talented boy who excels at everything he tries. But when his pride turns into boasting, his head literally starts to grow. One day, it gets so big he floats away to the whimsical "Land of Bigheads," where he's finally outshone in a series of silly competitions.

Humbled, Billy learns a valuable lesson: striving to be your best is not the same as needing to be better than everyone else, and true happiness comes from connection, not comparison! Join Billy as he learns how to feel proud of himself without putting others down.

Billy Bighead is a humorous and heartfelt rhyming picture book that uses the magic of a tall tale to explore pride, kindness, and being your best.

With reflection questions designed to spark meaningful discussion at home or in the classroom, Billy Bighead is a nuanced and research-informed story of self-worth, and how social comparison can erode self-esteem, empathy, and belonging.
