Book Overview

by Heather Graham (Author)

It's winter and a chill has settled over the area near New Orleans. Finding a stream of blood, a tourist follows it to a dead man, face down in the bayou.

The man has been done in by a vicious beating, so violent that his skull has been crushed in.

It's barely a day before a second victim is found...once again so badly thrashed that the water runs red. The city becomes riddled with fear.

An old family friend comes to Danni Cafferty, telling her that he's terrified, he's certain that he's received a message from the Blood Bayou killer--It's your turn to pay, blood on the bayou.

Cafferty and Quinn quickly become involved, and--as they all begin to realize that a gruesome local history is being repeated--they find themselves in a fight to save not just a friend, but, perhaps, their very own lives.

Reviews for Blood on the Bayou:

A thrilling suspense murder mystery, Blood on the Bayou will have readers on the edge and guessing till the last pages whether the violence permeating the bayou is one of modern evil or an old malevolent spirit resurrected from the depths of the swamps. JG

I was captivated by this novella from the first page. It was a suspenseful read that was filled with eerie tones. I truly loved the characters and especially Quinn! I enjoyed the murder mystery and thought the ending was great and very well balanced. TMBA Corbett

I really enjoyed this novella and I'll be checking out the rest of the series. Great tension, good romance. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything set in New Orleans. Love the Crescent City. Romance Reader Girl

Graham has always been one of my all-time favorites and I was not disappointed with this book either. Though I'd not read previous books that brought Danni and Quinn together initially, it didn't hamper the story. Loved the suspense of the setting with the Swamps of Louisiana. So much flavor to be had there. Rickie51
