Burning Mountain: A dark and twisty rural noir crime thriller - Paperback

by Darcy Tindale (Author)

Five went up the mountain, but only four came down.

In 2006, fifteen-year-old Oliver went hiking with his school friends to the lookout on Burning Mountain, and vanished without a trace. The four teens who returned insisted they saw nothing. Knew nothing.

Almost twenty years later, Detective Rebecca Giles is called to nearby Mount Wingen, where a skull has been unearthed in the bushland. She's convinced they've finally found Oliver, and that his friends, now grown with lives of their own, have always known more than they admitted.

But when a new suspect emerges, the case takes a darker turn - one that leads Giles uncomfortably close to home. And sometimes, the truth is far more dangerous than the lies.

Burning Mountain is a dark, gripping rural thriller about loyalty, guilt and secrets that never die, perfect for fans of Kyle Perry and Sarah Bailey.

'Dark, wild and cracking with tension, Burning Mountain leaves other outback noir titles in the red dust.' - Jack Heath, bestselling author of Kill Your Husbands
