Cafe Days - Paperback

A unique and unforgettable work of modern fiction. George Bothamley is a writer of genuine originality - with a style of prose that can only be compared to the likes of Charles Bukowski and Fernando Pessoa

Cafe Days gives us a window into the life of "Vinny" - a cleaner, who spends his every waking moment working in a dirty cafe.

Through a series of observations, stories, personal reminiscences, and fragments of philosophy - this is a book where we do not just see the world through the narrators eyes - but, really feel it too.

And, amongst a supporting cast of prostitutes, gang members, lowlifes, tramps, church goers, office workers, rich folks, and simple strangers who always seem to pass by too quickly. . . we see how a single city neighbourhood can be like a microcosm of the best, and the worst, of human society.
