Called to Serve: The Making of a Lady Lawyer - Paperback

Susan Walker Allen's story is a clarion call to those who want to do more, be more and make a more profound contribution to society. As the only 'lady lawyer' in her region, Susan shattered a glass ceiling, confounded her male counterparts and was a tireless advocate for those with no real voice in the legal system.

During her 36-year career, Susan experienced her share of professional elation and endured one of life's most profound tragedies - the death of her teenaged son.

Called to Serve is a poignant testament to one woman's indomitable spirit and to the inner strength and resilience all of us can find within ourselves.
