Carved in Stone - Paperback

King Suldana II's death in 1450 BCE unleashes jealousy, hate and political ambition in Anatolia's Kingdom of the Hittites. Fear grips ordinary citizens and members of the royal court alike, but three young men in particular become the targets of a ruthless queen. Prince Takana, the king's nephew, dodges the queen's attempts on his life. Ras, son of the king's scribe, is determined to vindicate his father's execution for treason. And gentle Angulli is torn by love for his friends and the inevitable violence he sees coming. Though buried under the rubble of more than 3,400 years, the best and worst of the human condition are exposed as no different from today. Like us, the three young Hittites test and are tested by moral strengths and weaknesses, confronted by compassion and cruelty, experience greath truths and devastating betrayals, and the seemingly limitless capability for human selfishness.
