Book Overview

Wall Street Journal Top 10 & New York Times Bestselling Author. Large Print edition.

"James Herriot meets Driving Over Lemons"

When Joe and Vicky swap England for a tiny mountain village in Andalucía, they imagine sun, serenity, and sangria. What they get is something else entirely.

Nothing prepares them for the culture shock waiting around every whitewashed corner. Before long, they're accidental chicken farmers and own the most terrifying cockerel in Spain.

Will they stay and embrace the craziness or return to the relative sanity of England?

Includes traditional Spanish recipes donated by the village ladies. This is the first book in the hilarious Old Fools travel memoir series.

The Telegraph-- "a colourful glimpse of Andalucían life. And a psychopathic chicken or two...charming...funny"

About Victoria Twead

Victoria Twead was born and raised in Dorset before moving to West Sussex to pursue a teaching career. In 2004 she nagged poor, long-suffering Joe into relocating to Andalucía, southern Spain. Victoria Twead's first book in the 'Old Fools' series, 'Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools', stayed in the Amazon Top 100 Bestseller list for four months. Currently, Victoria spends her time writing, and has published several more books. She shares her garden with six elderly chickens and two cats, and her house with Joe.
