Civil Blood: A Mirror Lake Mystery - Paperback

by Elly Kirsten (Author)

What's a new body doing in the old graveyard? When Diana Quick stumbles over Bradford Gray's unburied body in the old town graveyard, she is shocked but not much saddened. Neither are very many other Middleford residents-at least those who knew Brad when he was a bratty kid and thought he hadn't improved much with age and success and acquired power in town government. Nonetheless, no one suspects murder-at first. It takes an outsider-Alex Gordon, star of Middleford's summer theater festival-to point out that slipping in the mud and banging his head on a tombstone at a time when he would normally have been doing his duty to the zoning commission was a strange way for Bradford Gray to die. Alex points Diana to clues that uncover hidden rivalries, secrets in the victim's past-and the answer to how Brad died.
