Joseph Packer is a professor in the School of Communication, Journalism, and Media at Central Michigan University.

Ethan Stoneman is associate professor and chair of rhetoric and media at Hillsdale College. Packer and Stoneman are the authors of A Feeling of Wrongness: Pessimistic Rhetoric on the Fringes of Popular Culture.
