Alice Carta went to Canada to leave her bad memories of London behind for good. An archaeologist by trade, she chose a job in a library in a tiny, remote town in Nova Scotia. A secret bunker in the library holds clues to a World War II alliance between two local men--long dead--which may prove to be at the core of all the mystery. Alice and Philip play their own cards, while pretending to be fully on board with law enforcement, and also keeping close to their civilian contacts.
