Dogs in the Woods - Paperback

by Eulene Doyle (Author)

In the quiet, snow-covered woods of Perry County, Elena Marston just wants a peaceful life with her two rescue dogs. But her solitude is shattered when a routine walk leads to a run-in with Bill Beardom, a local animal control officer with a cold, intimidating agenda. What starts as a series of petty harassments and false citations quickly spirals into a terrifying game of cat and mouse.

As Elena digs deeper, she uncovers a disturbing pattern: missing intake forms, falsified records, and a mysterious code known only as "AC-7". When she realizes the local prosecutor is protecting the very man who is stalking her, Elena understands that this conspiracy goes far beyond animal control. With her friend David's loyalty crumbling and the system closing in, Elena realizes she isn't just fighting for the welfare of the dogs-she's fighting for her own survival. In a town where everyone is watching and the truth is buried deep; Elena must decide who to trust before she becomes the next to vanish.
