Exploring Music Volume 1: Reading Music - Paperback

Having trouble learning to read music through your instrumental method book? Exploring Music Volume 1 is designed to help with this exact problem. Inside you'll find exercises that encourage deep understanding of musical notation, rather than focusing solely on playing your particular instrument. This book is written with Piano students in particular in mind, however because the exercises are focused on the notation itself, you will learn to read and understand music better no matter what instrument you are learning to play!

With his breakthrough translation exercises, Alec Sloane has unlocked a new way to approach reading and writing music that is based on understanding what it is that is being communicated through notation. This way students can understand better what they see on the page and focus more attention on interpreting their favorite pieces beautifully, no matter the instrument.
