Fjordland - Paperback

by Rolf Bennhagen (Author)

Fjordland is set in the early tenth century, modern Scandinavia - in today's terms, grounded in mythic tradition. Arvid Björnsätre is a Northman from Borgund, who receives a summon, a mission not less than confronting and transforming the world, from Gånge-Rolv, the formidable leader of the Northmen winter settlements. The tale captures the voyage of Arvid, clash between ancient faiths and the resilience of people. Some accept many gods; others demand one truth - and the consequences ripple through the ages.

Originally written in Swedish and now translated in English, Fjordland is embedded in history, action, power struggles, adventure and unforgettable characters. Rolf Bennhagen writes this novel with utmost beauty, filled with vivid and mesmerizing landscapes that will stay with readers for a long time.
