Flash: A lost, but found story told by Flash, the son of an abandoned cat. - Hardcover

A simple and heartwarming tale, Flash tells the story of an abandoned mother cat and her journey to find a family through the eyes of one of her kittens.

A stray female cat appeared on a hobby farm one day. As with an abandoned animal, her backstory is a mystery. Over time she learns to trust humans and has a litter of kittens on the farm, whose escapades are documented up through the time they find new homes. The beautiful artwork accompanying the story helps bring Mary Lynn Kluss's words to life.

Depending on the age of the child being read to, the illustrations can encourage many different types of discussions throughout its pages. When reading out loud to a very young child, skip the introduction and the epilogue and just follow the story itself. It can also be a good discussion starter with young readers who chose to read the epilogue. Flash's tale teaches empathy throughout its pages and animal lovers will appreciate that the author speaks to the child through the kitten, but also directly to the adult. This a true story. Note that the back cover has photographs of the actual kittens in the story. This is a great gift item for animal-loving families who want to share their values through discussions fostered by this beautifully crafted family-friendly treasure.
