Book Overview

"Readers won't want to leave the heartwarming stories of Honeymoon Harbor, and its characters' second chances at life and love." --Publishers Weekly

Quinn Mannion never believed in destiny until she came to Honeymoon Harbor. The eldest of five siblings, Quinn has always found success--head altar boy, valedictorian of Honeymoon High, big-city lawyer. Until he gave it all up. Walking away from his lucrative career and returning to Honeymoon Harbor to reopen the old family pub wasn't as tough as he thought. Not nearly as tough as meeting the woman who was meant to be his forever. But loving a married woman is a line Quinn won't cross.

Despite Amanda Barrow's attempts to be friendly yet reserved, she knows Quinn has noticed a shadow hanging over her. And walls that don't invite intimacy. And the unexplained bruises. As much as she tries not to fall so quickly, Quinn's steady nature and loving concern have Amanda burying memories of her disastrous marriage and feeling hopeful for the future. But she'll have to let go of the chaos and pain of the past--and accept a staggering family secret--before she and Quinn can get their happy-ever-after.

About Joann Ross

When New York Times bestselling author JoAnn Ross was seven-years-old, she had no doubt whatsoever that she'd grow up to play center field for the New York Yankees. Writing would be her backup occupation, something she planned to do after retiring from baseball. Those were, in her mind, her only options. While waiting for the Yankees management to call, she wrote her first novella-a tragic romance about two star-crossed mallard ducks-for a second grade writing assignment. The paper earned a gold star. And JoAnn kept writing. She's now written around one hundred novels (she quit keeping track long ago) and has been published in twenty-six countries. Two of her titles have been excerpted in Cosmopolitan magazine and her books have also been published by the Doubleday, Rhapsody, Literary Guild, and Mystery Guild book clubs. A member of the Romance Writers of America's Honor Roll of best-selling authors, she's won several awards, including career achievement awards in both category romance and contemporary single title. Although the Yankees have yet to call her to New York to platoon center field, JoAnn figures making one out of two life goals isn't bad. Currently writing her Shelter Bay series (set on the Oregon Coast, where her high school sweetheart proposed), her River's Bend series (set in Southern Oregon ranching country, where she grew up), her award-winning Irish Castlelough series, and a new, upcoming Orchid Island series, JoAnn lives with her husband and two rescued dogs, who pretty much rule the house, in the Pacific Northwest.
