Maxine has been a creative arts and craft person for many years, turning her hand to many and varied forms of artistic creation, from pottery to quilting, from sewing to embroidery, from practical to ornamental.

Maxine made her first quilt some 40 years ago, its purpose very much of the practical nature, while always with a touch of creative flare. It was some years later that Maxine came to realise the strength of giving, in combination with the joy of creativity with a message, that she followed the path of making quilts.

Many quilts have been made with a seed of an idea planted by the circumstance of a would-be recipient. Still others were made with the simple pleasure of knowing there is someone out there with a need, and so often that someone stood in the path of Maxine and her creation.

Maxine is continually excited and uplifted by the many testimonies which are fed back to her on the love and meaning recipients have given to the quilts.
