Our narrator observes their grandmother is always dancing, we learn more about the grandmother's past as a professional dancer and her joy in watching her grandchild follow in her footsteps. The narrator suddenly experiences the loss of this influential woman in their life and through her grief realises that their grandmother lives on in their love of dancing and the joy of life.
