Greater New York, MoMA PS1's signature survey of artists living and working in the New York City area, returns for its sixth edition in 2026, coinciding with the institution's 50th anniversary. Supporting and spotlighting the city's creative communities, the quinquennial exhibition forms the backbone of the museum's commitment to local artists and collectives. By highlighting New York-area artists responding to the issues of today in real time, the survey has established itself as a barometer of artistic production in the region, whose reverberations shape global dialogues. Greater New York 2026 features more than 50 artists across generations and backgrounds, with a focus on emerging and multidisciplinary artists in the formative years of their careers. The exhibition encompasses site-specific commissions, new productions and performance premieres, alongside recent works that address today's most urgent cultural concerns.
