Grouchy the Gibbon - Hardcover

Spotlighting an endangered species, this action-packed adventure is perfect for early readers and young children learning to navigate their feelings and friendships.

Grouchy is a gibbon like no other. While the rest of the group sings and swings through the treetops, Grouchy keeps to himself. The only thing that brings a smile to his frowning lips is a snack of delicious coconuts. When he discovers a hidden corner of the jungle with fruit like he's never seen, Grouchy has some thinking to do. Is it time to look beyond his loner lifestyle? Will he succeed in his quest to satisfy his hunger?

With Prasad's charming rhyme and Horne's expressive illustrations, Grouchy the Gibbon is a journey of self-discovery, empathy, and ultimately, friendship. Relatable for readers young and old, Grouchy reminds us that growth and positive change are achievable for each and every one of us.
