Hanuman The Hero - Paperback

We have all heard the tales of Hanuman-the monkey god who dared to

pluck the sun from the sky and put it in his mouth. A loyal follower of Lord

Rama, a fierce friend of the Kishkindha monkeys, and a valiant hero who

could give his life for friends and family, Hanuman is loved and revered by

many in the subcontinent.

This evocative and lyrical story showcases brave Hanuman in a new light.

From the marriage of his parents-Pavana, the god of winds, and Anjana,

the daughter of the Earth-and his childhood days, to his meeting with the

vanaras of Kishkindha and his journey with Rama to Lanka to vanquish the

demon king Ravana, this is a story of valour, strength and loyalty. With each

episode in his life, be it his first meetings with Rama, Lakshmana, Sita-and

Mother Earth; or battling with crocodiles and flying across land and sea to

acquire the Herb of Healing, see Hanuman grow to become the god he was

always meant to be.

Dhan Gopal Mukherji was one of the finest writers from India in the

children, it is a fresh take on Indian culture which will delight a new

generation.
