Heart Scars (The Grimoire Detective Book 2) - Paperback

A pulp-paced, magical detective adventure novel that contains a hidden world of magic, found family, and finding their place in the world.

Detective Charlene 'Charley' Warlock is an amateur magical detective with unique powers. Together with her partner, Ashley Kincaid, an antique store owner who deals with magical artifacts, they work to solve problems that need special attention in a world where magic is still a secret.

An old flame from the past returns to St. Constantine in need of some help. It's a race against the clock as the chase is on to recover a stolen artifact and figure out its purpose. But, there is also a new enemy in town, and they want the artifact back for their own nefarious purposes. Can Charley Warlock help solve the case before it's too late for the world?

Set in the fictional city of St. Constantine, Florida, during the 1940s, this is written in the style of the older pulps, updated for the present state-of-mind reader.

The series is a blend of partner detective series similar to Sherlock Holmes with the pulp adventure styling in a post-WWII urban fantasy setting.
