High Lights - Paperback

by Karen Peradon (Author)

All that glitters is not gold at the 1987 Golden Scissors Hairdressers competition.

Amidst the shimmer of the 1987 Golden Scissors Awards, Sylvia Scutlash, special agent is tasked with unearthing missing communication crucial to the United Guild of Hairdressers.

Yet as her mission unfolds at the lavish Pharaoh's Palace Hotel, a murder by scissor blade is committed. Amid foul play, rigged rounds, and greedy sales tactics, Sylvia must race to untangle the hairstylists' data mystery and help the dishy detective uncover the murderer before someone else is killed.

Will Sylvia cut to the chase and save UGH from extinction? Can Detective Danny Dreamboat unravel both the murder and Sylvia's heart? And in a world where vanity and greed reigns, who will claim the coveted Golden Scissors trophy?

A punny, funny cozy mystery, where there is more backstabbing than backcombing set against the extravagant backdrop of Las Vegas.
