Author Biography

Dr. Jean Menzies is an award-winning author, ancient historian, and presenter. She has a PhD in classics from the University of Roehampton, where she has also taught ancient history. Her specialties are ancient Greek literature, law, and mythology, as well as the history of women in antiquity. Jean has written nonfiction for children and adults, including Greek Myths, Goddesses and Heroines, All the Violet Tiaras, Aphrodisia, and Live Like a Goddess. Her debut novel, meawhile, was an adult reimagining of Arthurian legend titled The Lady of the Lake. She also edits and compiles the Myths and Legends series for Macmillan Collector's Library.
