How to Outsmart a Grumpy Wish Demon: Bargain Released - Paperback

by Alianne Donnelly (Author)

All Esmeralda wanted was to treat herself to some fancy D&D dice from her favorite online store. Was that so wrong? Apparently so, because instead of her dice, the store accidentally sends her an ancient artifact that summons a wish demon who has to grant her wish and then take her soul. It's the rules. Or so he says...

Luckily, as an expert on "be careful what you wish for," Esmeralda comes up with the perfect wish. Either the demon gives her the life she always dreamed of, or he walks away-from the deal and her soul.

The good news is, the demon chooses Option B. The bad news is, he's not happy about it, and his new hobby is making Esmeralda's life as miserable as possible. But soul bargains are tricky, tricky things. And sometimes, Being itself decides how the story should ultimately play out.

How to Outsmart a Grumpy Wish Demon is a modern-day paranormal romcom that comes in two flavors, released as separate editions. Both versions begin with the same 6.5 chapters but the stories diverge at the end of chapter 7. Some key events happen in both stories, but when they happen and how will be different in each version. Both versions are complete and have a satisfying happy ending, so you can choose to read whichever option sounds better to you, or you can choose to read both.

Note: While this book has lots of humor and witty banter, it does feature some dark themes. Please check the content warnings inside.
