It Happened On Cherry Street - Paperback

by Rebekah Venturini (Illustrator), Diane Arkenstone (Author), Taylor Venturini (Illustrator)

This book focuses on characters who live in and come together in a diverse neighborhood.

When Raphie, a little boy in a wheelchair who lives on Cherry Street with his dog and family, finds a shiny nickel, he feels like it is his lucky day. The friendly neighbors include Mr Nakamoto who plays piano, Mrs Applegate who bakes pies, and Mrs Jordan and her daughter who tend a garden. Raphie and everyone on Cherry Street all come together for an adventure with a crow, the fire department, and the shiny nickel that saves the day, with everyone - including the crow - happy with the outcome.

Families and educators of young children will delight in the text and illustrations which gently and positively point to both diversity and inclusivity in a young boy's neighborhood.
