Author Biography

Larissa Theule holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and is the author of the picture books Born to Ride: A Story About Bicycle Face, A Way with Wild Things, and How Do You Do? She lives in Pasadena, California.

Rebecca Green is the author and illustrator of How to Make Friends with a Ghost and the illustrator of many other celebrated picture books. Originally from Michigan, she currently lives in Osaka, Japan.

About Larissa Theule

Larissa Theule is the author of several books for children, including the first book in the Material Marvels series, Concrete: From the Ground Up. She is also the author of Kafka and the Doll, illustrated by Rebecca Green, and A Way with Wild Things, illustrated by Sara Palacios. She was inspired to write about the history of materials science because she believes that tracking the course of human innovation can help guide us to where we're going next.
