Keeper of the Rings - Paperback

by Nancy J. Cohen (Author)

Indiana Jones meets Romancing the Stone in a high-stakes race to recover a stolen sacred artifact-and save a planet on the brink of ruin.

Archaeologist Leena Worthington-Jax is accustomed to digging up the past-not saving the future. But when she's hired to recover a stolen artifact that controls her planet's fragile weather cycles, the fate of her entire world lands squarely in her hands. Assigned to protect her is Taurin Rey Niris, a quiet, rugged stranger who claims to be nothing more than a simple farmer.

Leena suspects he's more than he seems, since farmers don't move like warriors-or fight like legends. And they certainly don't awaken desires she's sworn to ignore. As danger closes in from every direction, she finds herself relying on Taurin's strength, his skill...and his tantalizing touch.

Taurin has secrets of his own-secrets that could shatter everything Leena believes about her planet and her people. Bound by duty and haunted by his hidden origins, he knows the truth would destroy her trust and the fragile bond growing between them. Yet without that truth, her world may not survive.

With enemies closing in and time running out, Taurin must choose between protecting the woman he's come to love-and revealing the knowledge that could tear them apart.

"A good mystery, action/adventure, sci-fi, and romance all rolled into one." Mary Saums, Author of the Thistle & Twigg Mysteries
