In this book we've gathered over 50 beloved lullabies from countries and cultures all around the world.

Each Lullaby includes the full text in the original language, with an English translation.

Each features links to web pages that include recordings, some by professional musicians, but many by ordinary people who have contributed them to us, to help preserve their culture.

Most include beautiful illustrations.

Many have commentary sent to us by our correspondents who write about the history of the songs and what they meant in their lives.

We've included beloved favorites from all over the world like "Fais dodo, Colas mon p'tit frère (Go to Sleep, Colas My Little Brother)" from France, "Schlaf, Kindlein, schlaf (Sleep, Baby Sleep)" from Germany, and "Dodo ti pitit manman (Sleep Little Mama)" from Haiti. About Lisa Yannucci

Lisa Yannucci is the founder and editor-in-chief of Mama Lisa's World, the internet's leading site for international children's songs and culture. She was inspired to start Mama Lisa's World in the mid 1990's, when her young son first became interested in nursery rhymes. She recorded several Mother Goose songs onto a computer and programmed them to play when he clicked a picture. He loved it and she became fascinated with the power of the internet to enrich the lives of children. She made the site public and has since used her background in languages and culture, and her talent as an illustrator, to oversee its tremendous growth.
