Matilda Rescues Charlie: A Brand New New Adventure! - Hardcover

by Ernie Swindle (Author)

Matilda the Donkey Detective is back with another heartwarming adventure in Matilda Rescues Charlie!

On Mimi's Mini Farm in Blount County, Alabama, Matilda begins noticing something unusual in the woods along the pasture fence. With her sharp senses and curious nature, she discovers a shy, homeless pig hiding just beyond the tree line. The pig has no name, no home, and is too afraid to trust anyone.

Determined to help, Matilda names him Charlie and patiently works to earn his trust. While the rest of the farm animals prepare for a lively dance party inspired by the music from a nearby wedding venue, Matilda keeps checking on Charlie, encouraging him to join the warmth and safety of the farm.

Charlie is scared of rejection and unsure if he belongs, but Matilda's kindness, persistence, and friendship slowly help him find the courage to step inside the gate. With the support of Mimi, Ernie, and the other animals, Charlie discovers what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

Based on real events from Mimi's Mini Farm, this touching story teaches children valuable lessons about compassion, inclusion, bravery, and welcoming those in need. Filled with fun farm characters, dancing, friendship, and a happy ending, Matilda Rescues Charlie is a delightful read for animal lovers and young readers alike.
