Meet the Orisas - Paperback

by Chinenye Egbuna Ikwuemesi (Author)

This is a reintroduction to divine figures who have long been misnamed, mistranslated, or buried. Orunmila, the wisdom keeper. Ogun, the iron pathfinder. Shango, the thunder that still rolls. Babaluaye, the healer and the afflicted. Iya. Egungun. Spirits that are ancestors, ancestors that are memory, memory that still lives.

In this mythic microbook, Chinenye Egbuna Ikwuemesi reawakens the Orisha - not as relics of a vanished religion, but as living presences. This is not a theological text - it is a storytelling text, lyrical and potent, a cultural remembering and a mythic reimagining.

You will also meet the Relikas - deities born of consequence, created in spaces of rupture, spirit-forged by what the world lacked. Gods like Ogirini, Aria, Yaya, and Benita Masret - mythic figures formed when silence demanded story.

This is the first book in The Mythic Codex, a series of mythohistorical microbooks designed to reclaim African mythology as a source of imagination, story, and sacred fire.
